  1. Hello Tane,

I'm Evelyn and I will be working with the Summer Learning Journey team for 2018-2019 to read and follow amazing blog posts like yours! I am so excited to read what pops into that wonderful brain of yours and hope you have fun on this journey!

Those are some interesting facts about New Zealand and I love the way you have used pictures and colours to decorate and represent these facts, well done Tane! I have lived here my whole life and had no idea about some of these facts so thank you for telling me more about our country! Please remember to make sure you put information into your own words next time. What a unique and special bird we have, don't you think? Do you have friends who are from another country and do they call you a Kiwi? When I go to visit my friends in Australia, Taiwan or South Africa, they call me a Kiwi! They thought it was funny to be calling me a bird but I told them it is a normal nickname here in New Zealand. Have you ever seen a Kiwi bird in real life before? I have seen them at the zoo before.

    Happy blogging,
    Evelyn :D

  2. Hello Tane,
Your facts are certainly fun! I am not a citizen of NZ, but I am extremely interested in people having to swear an oath to the Queen. We need to make sure NZ is the safest, so that is a good fact you put in there. I was also kind of confused at first about the kiwi concept, but later I figured it meant 3 things, New Zealander, fruit, and the iconic flightless bird. Keep up the great work, your work is perfect!
